Nakache on improving diversity in VC and benefits of the apprenticeship model

Like Comment

As one of the longest tenured female VCs in Silicon Valley, Patricia Nakache is deeply invested in helping get more women into the VC industry, given that we are still “not anywhere close to parity.” She points to continued pressure from founders who want diverse teams backing them and from LPs that want to see diversity in their managers as critical to making forward progress. Patricia also discusses the benefits of the apprenticeship model, which she says gave her an opportunity to learn the nuances of the industry in real-time from senior leaders at Trinity Ventures who had an “open door” and collaborative approach.
