Flexstone Partners’ Zélie Saint-Zéby leads the affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers into a notable transaction. Flexstone committed 6.3 million euros to Pastas Gallo, a Spanish seller of pasta sauces, flours and breadcrumbs. Investing alongside ProA Capital, the deal marked Flexstone’s 100th co-investment. It began making co-investments in 2008.
In a statement, Zélie called the transaction “a sweet spot mid-cap investment for Flexstone, alongside one of Spain’s most successful managers” and said that Pastas Gallo “is a hidden gem with great production facilities and, according to our analysis, has the potential to add plenty of value.”
Zélie, who is director of investments, is based in Geneva and covers all aspects of primary and direct investments in Europe and participates in secondary transactions as well. Prior to joining Flexstone predecessor Euro Private Equity, Zélie worked for Deutsche Bank Asset Management in Switzerland.
