McGuire, Melton and Chabrier earn leaderships posts at PEWIN, NVCA and France Invest; Coller Capital releases their Summer Global Private Equity Barometer

McGuire is named PEWIN’s first executive director
Long-time Falk Marques Group collabortive partner PEWIN – Private Equity Women Investor Network – announced that Kirsty McGuire is joining the organization as their first Executive Director. Kirsty joins PEWIN leaders Kelly Williams, Kate Mitchell, Dana Johns, Krista Hatcher, Joanne (Jo) Yoo, Jill Kitazaki, Iris Zhao-Fiorello and Sarah Corr in accelerating the momentum the organization has achieved to date. Kirsty is the former general counsel of the StepStone Group. Her background also serving as a corporate attorney with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Paul Hastings and Credit Suisse.
The NVCA’s 2021-22 board of directors will include 13 women
The National Venture Capital Association’s 2021-22 board of directors will include 13 women, up from 11 the past two terms.
The 13 women includes three who are on the seven-person executive committee: Chair-Elect Emily Melton, co-founder and managing partner of Threshold Ventures; Treasurer Jill Jarrett, who is chief financial officer of Benchmark; and At-Large Member Patricia Nakache, who is a general partner at Trinity Ventures.
The 13 also includes five who were newly appointed: Hilary Gosher, managing director, Insight Partners; Kristina Burow, managing director, ARCH Venture Partners; Nicole Glaros, chief investment strategy officer, Techstars; Vanessa Colella, chief innovation officer, Citi Ventures; and Vineeta Agarwala, general partner, Andreessen Horowitz.
The other women on the board are Diane Daych, managing partner and co-founder at Granite Growth Health Partners; Carmen Palafox, who is a partner at MiLA Capital; Renata Quintini, co-founder and managing director of Renegade Partners; Dana Settle, co-founder and partner at Greycroft; and Jennifer Tegan, a managing director at Empire State Development – NY Ventures.
Michael Brown, general partner at Battery Ventures, will serve as chair for the upcoming term. Barry Eggers, founding partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, served as chair for the 2020-21 term.
The NVCA is an association partner of the Women’s Private Equity Summit and Women’s Alternative Investment Summit.
Coller Capital releases their Summer Global Private Equity Barometer
Three quarters of limited partners say climate change and health care/biotech will change their investment priorities in the post-COVID world, half of LPs believe a strong ESG policy boosts PE returns and two in five LPs are refusing more re-ups and accelerating new GP relationships. Chabrier is elected president of industry association France Invest
Claire Chabrier, associate director Amundi Private Equity Funds, is elected president of industry association France Invest. She will serve a two-year term. Claire has been a director and vice president of the association for the past three years. She has been with Amundi for 10 years and active in the private equity industry for 20 years.
Nine of the France Invest’s 16 board members are women. They include vice-chairmen Mireille Klitting of Five Arrows Managers and Sophie Pourquery of Bee Up Capital, who is also the association’s treasurer. Other women on the board include Isabelle Combarel of Swen Capital Partners, Alexandra Dupont of Raise, Fanny Letier of Geneo Captial Entrepreneurs, Emilie Lhopitallier of Truffle Capital, Pauline Roux of Elaia Partners and Magdalena Svensson of IK Investment Partners.
