Mandel leads GS Growth into Amount's $81M Series C round


Goldman Sachs Growth’s Jade Mandel invests in a technology provider for financial institutions. GS Growth led Amount’s $81 million Series C round, which also included existing investors August Capital, Invus Opportunities and Hanaco Ventures.

Based in Chicago, Amount has developed retail banking and point-of-sale technology that is aimed at accelerating digital transformation for financial institutions. Clients include HSBC, Banco Popular, Regions Bank and TD Bank.

In a statement, Jade said that Amount “enables banks to navigate digital transformation through its modular and mobile-first platform for financial products” and is taking on a “compelling market opportunity.”

In conjunction with the financing, Jade joined Amount’s board. She is also on the boards of H20.aiNav, Inc. and Visible Alpha and is an observer on the board of Second Measure. Jade has been with Goldman since 2013 and a member of the firm’s investing team since 2014.
