Christina Farr leaves her role as a health-tech reporter at CNBC to become a venture capitalist.
Christina is now a principal with OMERS Ventures where she will focus on investing in health-tech. She will also author a newsletter, “Second Opinion”, where she’ll share thoughts on the industry, interviews and analysis.
Christina spent four years at CNBC and was previously at Fast Company.
OMERS Ventures’ team includes partners Laura Lenz and Tara Reeves and principal Michelle Killoran.
OMERS Ventures currently manages 2 billion Canadian and has made more than 60 investments in North America and Europe. The firm earlier this year raised a $750 million trans-Atlantic fund. Its parent, OMERS, is one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans with 109 billion Canadian in net assets as of Dec. 31.
