Dreier invests in firm that aims to replicate real-life interactions using video tools
EQT Ventures’ Jenny Dreier invests in a startup that she says has developed the best video tool for replicating real-life interactions. EQT Ventures led Wonder’s 9 million euros seed round, which also included existing investor BlueYard Capital.
Wonder has created a video communication tool that enables larger online group gatherings that mirror in-person meetings, such as the ability to chat with people in different groups. The capital will be used for product development, team expansion and growth of its customer base. Founded earlier this year, Wonder already has lined up such customers as NASA, Deloitte, SAP and Harvard.
In a statement, Jenny said the product has “explosive potential, already foreshadowed with the platform’s stellar organic growth.” She added that “no other video tools come anywhere near as close to replicating real-life interactions as Wonder.”
An investor in EQT Ventures’ Berlin office, Jenny earlier this year was involved in the firm’s investment in Vectary, a browser-based 3-D and AR design and publishing platform. She joined EQT Ventures a year ago after being a consultant with McKinsey & Company.
