Avante Capital promotes Kim and hires Ignacio
Avante Capital Partners promotes Amanda Kim and hires Karel Ignacio.
Amanda, who joined the Los Angeles firm in 2016, is now a vice president. During her time at Avante, she has contributed to marketing, execution and portfolio management.
Karel came aboard as an associate. She previously held roles with Virgin Hyperloop, Warner Brothers Entertainment and Paramount Pictures.
Avante is led by chairman Jeri Harman and managing partner Ivelisse Simon. Based in Los Angeles, Avante invests in middle-market businesses generating $3 million or more in cash flow in the form of unitranche debt, traditional mezzanine and minority equity.
Avante in 2020 has invested debt and equity in Speech Pathology Group, a private equity-backed company whose founder and president is Susan Stark; Golden Bear Physical Therapy and Sports Injury Center, Inc. to support Shore Capital’s refinancing of the outpatient physical therapy platform; Catheter & Medical Design to support Inverness Graham’s purchase of the company; and Constellation Advisers, LLC to support an investment by TZP Group, LLC.
