A company that Lundström helped bring EQT into is getting acquired for $700M
A company that EQT Ventures’ Ashley Lundström helped bring her firm into is getting acquired for more than a half a billion dollars. Peakon ApS, a Danish employee success platform, has agreed to be purchased by publicly traded Workday, Inc. for $700 million in cash.
Workday, which provides enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, said the acquisition will enable it to provide organizations with a continuous listening platform, including real-time visibility into employee experience, sentiment and productivity.
Peakon, according to Crunchbase, raised a total of $68 million from a group which in addition to EQT Ventures also included Atomico, Idinvest Partners and Balderton. EQT Ventures’ led the company’s $6.5 million Series A round in 2017.
A deal partner, Ashley in 2020 led EQT Ventures into Anyfin, a Stockholm-based company that helps consumers improve their financial health. She has also helped lead the firm’s investments in Siilo, Wandelbots, AnyDesk, Varjo and Silexica. Prior to joining EQT in 2016, Ashley worked in M&A at Bonnier, a European media group.
