The percentage of women investment professionals at venture firms has risen only slightly over the past two years, according to a new report. The VC Human Capital Survey reported that 23 percent of investment professionals in the industry are women, up from 21 percent in 2018. Women, according to the report, also account for 16 percent of investment partners, compared with 14 percent in 2018. The one promising note is that females account for 33 percent of junior-level investment positions, up from 28 percent in 2018. The report also found that a growing number of venture firms – 43 percent – have a diversity strategy. A total of 378 firms were surveyed. The report was put together by the National Venture Capital Association, Venture Forward and Deloitte. To see the whole report and interactive dashboard results, go here.
